About StaySwap
StaySwap is a multi-service marketplace that combines short-term accommodation discovery with peer-to-peer resale. Users can explore available stays for an upcoming trip and browse resale listings through the same account, creating a broader community-led marketplace experience. The two sides of the product serve different purposes. Someone searching for accommodation needs location, availability, dates, pricing, amenities and host information. A resale buyer is more interested in item condition, photographs, category, price, seller details and fulfilment arrangements. Treating both activities as the same transaction would have made the application difficult to understand.
Maven Peak Solutions designed StaySwap around separate but connected journeys. Shared elements such as profiles, search, favorites, messaging, notifications, reviews and account settings establish consistency. The listing structure, filters, detail pages and transaction steps then adapt according to whether the user is booking a stay or exploring a resale item. The resulting architecture gives StaySwap a unified identity without sacrificing the information and controls required by each marketplace model.

Accommodation bookings and resale purchases involve different information, decisions, and transaction states. Forcing both into one generic workflow could confuse users, weaken listing quality, and make management difficult for hosts and sellers. StaySwap needed to feel like one product while giving each marketplace journey the structure it required.

The roadmap began by separating the decisions involved in booking accommodation from those involved in purchasing a resale item. We then identified the components both journeys could share, allowing StaySwap to remain consistent without becoming repetitive or difficult to navigate.
