About FITPASS
FITPASS is a fitness and wellness subscription platform designed to give members access to a broad network of partner gyms and fitness experiences through a unified membership. Behind that flexibility is a more complex technology challenge. Each gym visit needs to be verified quickly, membership status needs to remain current and the check-in system has to reduce opportunities for QR sharing or unauthorized access without creating friction for legitimate members.
Maven Peak Solutions worked across UX/UI and full-stack engineering to support this experience. The work focused on secure dynamic QR check-ins, high-speed validation, partner gym integration, real-time communication, and an interface designed to keep frequent interactions simple for both members and gym staff.

Understanding The Problem
A multi-gym subscription gives members greater flexibility, but it also creates verification challenges that single-location memberships rarely face. FITPASS needed to confirm each member’s identity and active plan in real time without slowing front-desk operations.
Static or shareable QR codes increased the risk of unauthorized check-ins, while peak-hour demand required fast, reliable system performance. Partner gyms also needed dependable terminal integration and accurate usage records to support network operations and dynamic payouts.
The challenge extended beyond creating a digital membership pass. FITPASS required a secure, responsive check-in system that balanced member convenience, fraud prevention, real-time validation, operational accuracy and scalability.
- Generating secure, time-sensitive QR codes to prevent check-in sharing.
- Managing dynamic payout splits to gyms based on consumer utilization metrics.
- Scaling server connections to handle peak check-in times (7 AM & 6 PM).

Product Experience Designed Around Real Gym Visits
FITPASS supports members, gym partners and front-desk teams through distinct workflows. Members can discover nearby gyms and fitness activities, review facility details, access their membership and complete check-ins with minimal effort. For reception staff the interface makes essential information immediately visible, including member identity, plan status, gym eligibility and check-in confirmation.
This helps teams verify visits quickly and prevent queues. Clear actions, readable typography, responsive layouts and distinct success or error states reduce uncertainty throughout the journey. Consistent interface patterns also make user experience familiar across gym discovery, membership access and check-in.
