Diagnostic testing is an important part of preventive care, routine health monitoring, and medical treatment. Yet the process of finding the right test is often less straightforward than it should be. Patients may need to call a laboratory to ask about availability, compare tests with unfamiliar names, understand preparation requirements or visit a centre before they know what to book.
PathLab was designed to reduce that friction.
The platform brings diagnostic tests and health packages into a structured online experience. Instead of presenting users with a long and technical service list, it helps them browse available options, understand what each test covers, check the price, and move towards booking with greater confidence.
Maven Peak Solutions worked on the UI/UX design and development of the platform, creating a responsive interface that supports test discovery and patient action without making the experience feel overly clinical or complicated.

Patients Know They Need a Test, but Not Always What to Do Next
Booking a diagnostic test is different from purchasing an everyday service. A patient may arrive with a doctor’s prescription, search for a specific test, compare preventive health packages or simply try to understand which option matches their needs.
Medical terminology can make that journey difficult. Test names may be unfamiliar, packages may contain several parameters, and preparation instructions are not always communicated clearly. If the digital experience adds further confusion, patients are more likely to stop and call the laboratory or leave the website entirely.
PathLab needed to create a smoother route from the patient’s initial need to a clear booking decision.
The platform had to:
Make individual diagnostic tests easy to find
Present health packages without overwhelming patients
Show useful details before asking users to book
Support people who only have a doctor’s prescription
Keep pricing and included test information visible
Work comfortably on mobile devices
Build confidence through a clean and professional interface
Leave room for the diagnostic service catalogue to grow
The primary design challenge was not simply placing laboratory services online. It was organizing clinical information in a way that ordinary users could understand and act upon.
